Turukana County

ESSF promotes carbon capture through biological processes. It has partnered with communities in Turkana County in encouraging forest conservation and re-afforestation efforts. With sufficient funding, ESSF aims at harvesting carbon dioxide through biological sequestration as away of mitigating effects of climate change and limiting global warming.

How We Solve This Project

ESSF will be partnering with Kenya forest service in construction of hundreds of green houses planted with local and exotic tree nurseries. This together with natural forests conservation areas shall form a major source of carbon sequestration points that will in turn change the whole societal resilience in carbon trading as one of the major pathways for reducing atmospheric concentrations of CO2 in response to climate change concerns. Further, ESSF has paid great focus on reforestation programme that aims at reducing the impacts of charcoal burning and sustainable forest management as a way of environmental sustainability.

Join the community to give education, and empower them towards climate change and action.
